Pradarolo, Rosso Pradarolo Vendemmia Tardiva IGT 2008
14° Grape: 90% Barbera; 10% Bonarda
Late harvest, very strong nose, rich burnished almonds, strong tannins and on the palate rich dark, plums, black cherries, brambly fruit. Long maceration (80 days) ageing in large barrels 15 months. Unfiltered. Just a hint of sweetness belies the late harvest. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
