Rinaldini, Lambrusco Metodo Classico Brut, Emilia Romagna
11.5° Grape: 100% Lambrusco Pjcol Ross
This rare lambrusco grape has survived in only 3 vineyards of the area, and was known for its very low yields. It was rediscovered by Rinaldo Rinaldini in the 70s, and is now the pride of the house. Bottled at the end of winter, and re-fermented with its sediments in bottle using Champenoise method. On its lees for a min. of 12 months and stirred by remouage until its final degorgement. Juicy red berries and complex, vinous nose, it bursts on the palate rich in fresh, red fruit , in a stream of foam. Balanced tannins, and relatively dry. An unusual sparkler of great character representing the very best possibilities of lambrusco.
