You might be surprised by some unusual grape varieties like The Bagnoli Friularo, a DOC in itself, their rich botrytis, Pinot Grigio long macerated on the skins to yield all its mineral structure and the brassy colour of its skins - Pecorino, Passerina, Falanghina - the little known aromatic Malvasia long macerated and sitting on its yeast like a deviant champagne, and then wines that sing on your tongue, like the astonishing Velenosi Verdicchio. Ah, yes, we have a Pinot Grigio grown at 900 metres, Grillo and Insolia that are almost African and a biodynamic Chardonnay that surpasses anything dreamt of across the Alps.
